Mobile application for forwarders, back office and counterparties of Sladkaya Zhizn, the largest Russian distributor of food products in the retail and HoReCa segment
About the Project
Sladkaya Zhizn is a partner of stores throughout Russia with almost 30 years of experience in the field of food product supply. The company delivers goods to 7,000 B2B customers daily.
The distributor’s range of commodities includes 14,000 product items of 400 leading Russian and foreign manufacturers.
625 road trains of leading brands work to ensure that customers of Sladkaya Zhizn receive goods on time and without delay.

Problem and task
It was difficult for a delivery service with such a large fleet to organize logistic interactions between sales representatives, forwarders and customers using paper workflow: there were short deliveries, difficulties with routing and tracking the status of orders.
It was necessary to create a solution to ensure efficient and prompt exchange of information on orders within the chain “manager — driver — counterparty”, as well as performance of the driver’s work processes: preparation for a trip, following a route, building an optimal route, delivering orders, handing-over goods at the customer’s site.

Solution
We created an application that allows setting up a convenient logistic interaction between the Sladkaya Zhizn’s managers, counterparties and forwarders. Useful functions are implemented in two formats — desktop and mobile applications.
Tracking by drivers of the entire route and their status
Integration with Yandex.Navigator OS to select the best route with regard to the current traffic situation
Cards with detailed information on each waypoint (description, phone number, address, etc.)
An option to add a grade of a sales outlet on a 5-point scale and comments to the grade
Push notifications. Profile message history. Offline mode
Notification in case of incorrect position data
Adaptive design for various OS versions, mobile phones and tablets
An option to call a customer or a sales representative using the application
